Scenes from Kisses for Kyle ‘Go Gold’ Fashion Show
Children from Kisses for Kyle struck a pose as they made their way around the bases with Phillies Wives, players and coaches at a fun-filled ‘Go Gold’ Fashion Show in the Yard before Saturday’s game against the Mets.
The special event was held in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and gave children and their siblings the chance to take a break from treatment while they took center stage to model Phillies sportswear.
High-fiving them along the way were special guests including Michele Thomson (manager Rob Thomson’s wife) and Sharon Snyder, founder of Kisses for Kyle, which assists families in the Delaware region who are battling childhood cancer and named in memory of Sharon’s son, Kyle, who passed away from cancer in 1998.
Also taking part were emcee and Phillies’ ambassador Scott Palmer and “DJ” Jon Joaquin, who brought the dance tunes for the Phillie Phanatic, Phillies Ballgirls and fellow Phillies Ambassadors’ Mickey Morandini, Dickie Noles and Milt Thompson. Citizens Ballpark Bankers and Kourage, the Kisses for Kyle mascot were all there, too, making sure these terrific kids and their families had a great day at the ballpark.
