On Tuesday, January 16, manager Rob Thomson and his wife, Michele, joined outfielder Brandon Marsh to help serve meals at St. Francis Inn Ministries in Kensington, whose volunteers have been serving sit-down meals to the neediest of individuals and families in Philadelphia since 1979.
The Phillies skipper helped prepare the dishes while Marsh assisted with serving, as well as providing desserts.
The offseason visit was a part of the team’s Winter Tour, featuring numerous community and charitable events, all held one month before pitchers and catchers report for Spring Training in Clearwater, Fla.
