Highlights From This Year’s Phillies Summer of Giving Presented by the GIANT Company

Once again, the Phillies and The GIANT Company teamed up to host their annual Summer of Giving, featuring almost a dozen charitable events held throughout the Delaware Valley, all aimed at giving back to organizations making a difference in the community.

Many special guests took part in the events, including 1993 National League champions Milt Thompson and Mickey Morandini, 1980 World Series champion Dickie Noles, Phillies Ballgirls and the Phillie Phanatic.

Here’s a look at some of our favorite moments during this action-packed summer, including:

• Volunteers from the Phillies front office serving dinner to families at the Ronald McDonald House
• Phillies Ballgirls game watch party for children and families involved in local non-profits, as well as the Phillies Nike RBI and UYA programs
• The Philadelphia Sports Girls Initiative, a six-sport clinic hosted by Philadelphia’s six professional sports teams at Subaru Park
• Phillies volunteers prepping meals for those battling serious illnesses at MANNA
• A Phillies picnic at Peter’s Place for families receiving grief support
• A BINGO Night for residents at Project HOME
• The Phillies Ballgirls Christmas in July Toy Drive, benefitting local organizations dedicated to improving the lives of children
