Comcast SportsNet ushers in comprehensive Phillies Spring Training schedule on Feb. 18

High definition Spring Training games, original specials, plus exclusive online coverage highlight Comcast SportsNet’s 2012 Philadelphia Phillies Spring Training coverage

PHILADELPHIA- (February 14, 2012) – Comcast SportsNet, the leader in local sports, will provide Phillies fans with the most Spring Training programming on-air and online beginning Saturday, February 18. Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network will air 14 live Spring Training games in high definition, plus the networks will air a weekly team special, “Phillies Focus.”  In addition to live game coverage, Comcast SportsNet will have daily reports in “Daily News Live” and “SportsNite,” plus extensive online coverage from CSNPhilly.com.

Phillies Focus

Comcast SportsNet will air eight Phillies Spring Training specials beginning on Sunday, February 26 with “Phillies Focus.” This special will look back at the off-season moves and what lies ahead for 2012.  The first episode, airing on Sunday, February 26 at 10:30 p.m., will feature Marshall Harris’ (@MHarrisCSN) sit down interview with Charlie Manuel and fan favorite Jim Thome. All “Phillies Focus” episodes will premiere at 10:30 p.m. on Sundays and will repeat throughout the week on Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network.

Daily News Live Hits the Road

Comcast SportsNet’s roundtable program, “Daily News Live,” will hit the road and broadcast from Brighthouse Field in Clearwater beginning on Monday, February 20.  Michael Barkann (@MikencueCSN) hosts the program, which will feature Phillies players, front office staff and baseball experts.

Beginning on Saturday, February 18, CSNPhilly.com’s Phillies Insider Jim Salisbury (@JSalisburyCSN) starts his extensive reports from Clearwater, FL, the site of Phillies Spring Training. Salisbury will provide exclusive player, coaches and management interviews, plus breaking news and in-depth features on CSNPhilly.com. He will also provide live reports for “Daily News Live” and “SportsNite.” CSNPhilly.com columnist John Gonzalez (@GonzoCSN) and feature writer John Finger (@JFingerCSN) will also contribute to the site throughout Spring Training.

CSNPhilly.com’s online show “Lunchbreak” will have numerous episodes originate from Clearwater.
