PHILADELPHIA -- Steve Bedrosian won the National League Cy Young Award for the Phillies in 1987.

His son, Cam, could be pitching for the Phils as early as Thursday at Nationals Park.

The Phillies on Wednesday announced a series of moves with rosters expanding from 26 to 28 players. The club selected the contracts of Bedrosian and fellow right-hander Ramón Rosso from Triple-A Lehigh Valley, while right-hander Seranthony Domínguez was activated from the 60-day injured list and optioned to Lehigh Valley.

Philadelphia also placed Rhys Hoskins on the 60-day IL and Didi Gregorius on the restricted list to clear room for Bedrosian and Rosso on the 40-man roster.

Hoskins had surgery on Tuesday to repair a torn lower abdomen. Gregorius is in Curaçao following the recent birth of his child.

The Phillies signed Bedrosian, 29, to a Minor League contract on July 7. He went 2-2 with a 2.25 ERA in 16 appearances with Lehigh Valley, striking out 20 and walking seven in 20 innings. Bedrosian is 17-13 with a 3.79 ERA and nine saves in 300 appearances over eight seasons with the Angels, A’s and Reds.

The Bedrosians would become the third father-son combo to play for the Phillies, joining Ruben Amaro Sr. and Ruben Amaro Jr., and Mark Leiter and Mark Leiter Jr. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, there has never been a father-son duo to pitch a game for the same team, with one of the two winning a Cy Young Award with that team.
