Phillies Wives
The Phillies Wives annually host a full lineup of charitable projects to help raise funds and awareness for local charities. Their efforts include volunteering their time in the annual Phillies Phestival. At the event, they can be found selling grab bags and meeting with patients and their families. As a group the wives have raised over $250,000 for the Pennsylvania SPCA, through the annual Save a Pet at the Park event and Phillies Pet calendars. The wives also support homeless youth with various initiatives including the renovation of a baby play area and young mothers' lounge at Covenant House Pennsylvania, an emergency shelter for teens. They have teamed up with Phillies front office staff to purchase and deliver hundreds of new backpacks filled with school supplies to children residing at the People's Emergency Center and Valley Youth House.
Each season they spearhead Phillies Charities, Inc. fundraisers during games including recipe books, autographed Mystery Baseball sales and memorabilia auctions. In recent years, the Phillies Wives have also worked with Women Against Abuse, Domestic Abuse Project of the Delaware Valley, ConKerr Cancer, The Food Trust, Mothers United Through Tragedy, Prevent Child Abuse Pennsylvania and Camp No Worries.
