Rookie Member Renewal Education
We want to provide our first-year Season Ticket Members with some key information to help you better understand 2025 Membership renewals, timing, and expectations as you go through the process for the first time!
OVERVIEW
Renewal information will be emailed to you in early August. At that time, you will be able to access your invoice and see all the details for the 2025 season. To help you plan, please keep the following items in mind:
- You have the first right of refusal for your same seats and package for the 2025 season.
- If you are on a monthly payment plan, you are enrolled in auto-renewal. With auto-renewal, no action is required and your first payment for the 2025 season will run automatically on the card on file on September 16.
- If you need to update your credit card on file, you may do so through the invoice tab on Account Manager after receiving your renewal information. Please make sure you sign in using your email address and password associated with your Padres Account.
- If you are interested in making changes to your seats or package, you must renew your Membership in the current location. This will give you access to participate in our Virtual Seat Relocation in November where you can view available seat inventory for the 2025 season. If you have any questions, please reach out to your account rep directly to walk through how this process will work in November. Please note, with the most Season Ticket Members in franchise history, available seat locations and overall inventory will be extremely low.
- If you are on auto-renewal, you can opt-out by completing a survey by the Opt-Out Deadline. The survey will be sent to you as part of your initial renewal information. If you opt-out of auto-renewal, you will still have the option to renew for the 2025 season by September 16 and retain all the perks of being a Member. Please note, opt-outs will not be accepted via email or text, over the phone or in person.
- If you are not on a payment plan, you will have until September 16 to renew your seats for the 2025 season. At that time, you will have the option to pay in full, split your charges into two payments, or sign up for a payment plan and auto-renewal for subsequent seasons.
IMPORTANCE OF TENURE
Tenure refers to the length of time you have been a Padres Member. When you renew your Membership each season, your tenure will remain intact because we count tenure based upon the years of consecutively renewing your Season Ticket Membership. While you're currently a Rookie, each year you renew, you gain tenure, which unlocks additional benefits (more on that below). If you do not renew your Membership for the 2025 season, your tenure will start over, and you will be considered a Rookie Member when you join the Padres family again in the future. At this time, rejoining the Padres Family would require you to join our Waitlist since we are currently sold out of Season Ticket Memberships.
Tenure is important, as it impacts your seat location and access to other benefits, including the following:
Tenure determines your Opening Day seating location if you are a Platinum or Gold Member.
Tenure plays a role in your postseason seating and access each season.
The longer your tenure, the more access you will have to special events throughout the year!
Additionally, Members who renew each year get access to our virtual relocation event each November. You will receive a designated date and time to access available inventory for the 2025 season should you want to relocate your seats or add-on additional seats. Your designated date and time are based upon your tenure - the longer your tenure, the earlier you will have access to the event. As a Rookie account, your tenure is 2024.
Fun Fact: We have over 50 accounts that have had their Padres Membership since 1969! That means they have renewed their Membership every single year since the inception of the team.
HOW TO CHANGE YOUR MEMBERSHIP
If you simply wish to change seat locations or add seats, you should renew your Membership in the current location. This will allow you to participate in our virtual relocation event in November, which will provide you with access to available seat locations.
If you are interested in making changes to your seats or packages, you must renew your Membership in the current location. This will give you access to participate in our virtual relocation event in November, which may have new, available seat locations and packages. Please note, we cannot guarantee that a specific seat location or package will be available. If you do not find an alternate location, your Membership is confirmed for the 2025 season in your current location.
If you don't want to change your Membership and you are on a monthly payment plan, you are enrolled in auto-renewal and no additional action is required! Your first payment for your 2025 Membership will be automatically charged on September 16.

PAYMENT OPTIONS
Members always have the opportunity to update their payment plan option in advance of each season. Once you receive your 2025 renewal information, you can select the best option for you via the “View My Invoice” tab in Account Manager. There are three payment plan options for the 2025 season:
12-Month Payment Plan
Most of our Members are on this payment plan, which offers you 12-months of zero-interest payments from September 15 through August 15 of the following year. If you are currently enrolled in this plan for the 2024 season, no additional action is required. You will simply continue your monthly payments and your first payment for the 2025 season will be automatically charged on Monday, September 16. If you are not enrolled in this payment option, you may select this through September 16.
50/50
With our 50/50 plan, you pay half of your total balance due when renewing and the remaining half on January 15.
Pay in Full
You always have the option to pay in full for your 2025 Membership.
