Ticket Exchanges
WHY EXCHANGE?
Exchanges can help you accommodate your busy schedule. You can move a game in your Membership to either attend a game you don’t already have in your Membership or to increase the number of tickets you have for an existing game in your Membership. Exchanges help you customize your experience as a Padres Member!
GAME TIERS
As a Padres Member, there are 10 different prices for the games in your Padres Membership depending upon the tier of the game. We classify all Padres home games into one of 10 different tiers with Tier 1 games being the most valuable tier. When exchanging tickets, you will want to match up tiers. Example: if you are unable to attend the July 9 game, you can move it to any other Tier 9 game because July 9 is also a Tier 9.
LOCATIONS
Exchanges are subject to availability. Exchanges can be completed only for locations where your Membership plan is offered – group spaces, premium seating areas and suites are not eligible to exchange into. Due to limited inventory, exchanges into Field VIP 101 – 110 and Premier Club A – L are only allowed if you are a current Field VIP or Premier Club Member. Popular games and popular seating areas are more difficult to exchange into as seating inventory is extremely limited.
Blue Members are eligible to exchange their tickets only into other areas we offer Blue Memberships.
GUIDELINES
- Exchanges through Account Manager must be completed a minimum of 48 hours in advance of the game you wish to exchange. If using the online exchange request form, a minimum of five business days in advance of the game you are exchanging out of is required. Padres Members may exchange a maximum of 50% of their season tickets.
- The 2024 Season has ten tiers of games. Members can exchange Tier 4-10 games for other Tier 4-10 games. Tier 2 and 3 games may be exchanged for other Tier 2 and 3 games. Tier 1 games are not eligible for exchanges.
- If the game tier or seating location is priced higher than your original seats, you will pay the difference during the checkout process. If you are exchanging into a lower tiered game or less expensive seating location, you will not receive credit for the difference in price.
- If your Membership is on a payment plan, your monthly payments are applied game by game throughout the season. If you wish to exchange a game that is not fully paid, you will need to make a payment for the unpaid games in order to complete the transaction. Payments made towards unpaid games during the exchange process will reduce the overall balance of your payment plan.
- Exchanges can be completed via your Account Manager or by submitting an exchange request form. We are unable to accommodate requests for specific seat locations through this form as all exchanges are based on which tickets are available at the time of the exchange. If you prefer to select your exact seats, please complete your exchange in your online Account Manager.
- We require your exchange requests in writing and will not accept exchange requests over the phone, via text, or in person at the Petco Park Box Office, Ticket Lobby or during a game.
- Exchanges are based upon availability and Membership level and some locations are not eligible to be exchanged into, including group and suite areas, premium seating locations and Field VIP and Premier Club sections (unless you are a Field VIP or Premier Club Member).
- Single seats cannot be stranded. If you are trying to exchange your two tickets into a location of three open seats, the exchange cannot be completed because one seat would be left by itself.
- Parking plans are eligible to be exchanged via your Account Manager in the same manner as your tickets with a maximum of 50% eligible to exchange.
