Eight Padres prospects are playing for the Peoria Javelinas in the 2019 Arizona Fall League: Shortstop Owen Miller (No. 10), third baseman Hudson Potts (No. 11), right-hander Reggie Lawson (No. 21), catcher Logan Driscoll, and left-handers Elliot Ashbeck, Osvaldo Hernandez and Reiss Knehr. Southpaw Adrian Morejon (No. 7) joined the roster on Oct. 9.

Catcher Luis Campusano (No. 6) was removed from the Javelinas roster on Sept. 29 after going 1-for-13 with two walks and six strikeouts over four games, and right-hander Jacob Nix (No. 28) was taken off the roster on Oct. 7 after one start, in which he allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits over 2 2/3 innings with one walk and three strikeouts.

Here’s a day-by-day look at how San Diego's AFL contingent is faring:

Oct. 25: Salt River 6, Peoria 1
Owen Miller’s two-out single in the second inning produced Peoria’s only run on the final day of the Fall League’s regular season. He finished 1-for-3 with one of the Javelinas’ four hits in the game and also recorded his first stolen base. The Padres’ No. 10 prospect batted .176 in the AFL, collecting 12 hits in 18 games. Logan Driscoll went 0-for-2 and committed a throwing error that resulted in an unearned run in the first inning. A 2019 Draft pick who was a mid-season addition to Peoria’s roster, Driscoll hit two home runs (both in his AFL debut) and batted .316 in six games.

Oct. 24: Glendale 2, Peoria 1
Reggie Lawson’s final start of the Arizona Fall League was perfect. The 22-year-old right hander threw 33 of his 51 pitches for strikes as he carved his way through four innings against the Glendale lineup. Lawson, who got off to a fast start and struck out the first batter he faced, racked up six strikeouts in his outing, including at least one in each inning. Lawson made three starts in the AFL and pitched to a 0.82 ERA with 14 strikeouts over 11 innings. Osvaldo Hernandez took over for Lawson and although the perfect game bid came to an end, Hernandez did turn in his third straight scoreless outing. Hernandez got off to a rough start in Arizona -- yielding 11 runs over 3 1/3 innings in his first three appearances -- but has settled down to finish the year. He gave up one hit in a scoreless frame Thursday. Hudson Potts singled in his first trip to the plate, but was then retired in three straight at-bats, two of which resulted in strikeouts.

Oct. 23: Peoria 6, Scottsdale 1
Owen Miller and Hudson Potts each singled as scored, a welcome sign as both prospects have struggled at the plate in Arizona and are hitting under .200. Miller finished 1-for-3 with a walk while Potts went 1-for-4. Logan Driscoll went 0-for-4, but is still batting .353 in the AFL. Reiss Knehr threw two scoreless innings out of the bullpen -- his third straight outing without surrendering a run -- but struggled with his command as he issued three walks. Knehr, however, didn’t give up a hit and struck out four to work around the walks.

Oct. 22: Scheduled day off for all Arizona Fall League teams.

Oct. 21: Peoria 4, Scottsdale 3
Logan Driscoll reached base twice more during Peoria’s win, lining a single to center in the third and drawing a walk against a left-hander in the eighth. After bursting on the scene with a two-homer game on Oct. 10, Driscoll has parlayed that success into a .462 batting average over his first four Fall League outings. Owen Miller snapped an 0-for-17 slide with a single in his first at-bat in the second inning. The club’s No. 10 prospect has produced a .395 OPS while with the Javelinas. Elliot Ashbeck came out of the bullpen firing, striking out the first two batters, and three of the first four, that he faced. His second inning did not yield the same results, as the right-hander was roughed up by three consecutive hits that plated a pair of runs. The 25-year-old saw his ERA bumped up to 2.92 with the performance.

Oct. 20: Mesa 8, Peoria 2
Logan Driscoll went 0-for-3, his first hitless game in Arizona. Driscoll has only played in three AFL games, but is 5-for-10 with a pair of homers in that small sample size.

Oct. 19: Mesa 5, Peoria 1
Hudson Potts drove in Peoria’s only run against Mesa via a sacrifice fly, though both he and Owen Miller went 0-for-3 at the dish. Potts had his fourth straight hitless game, while Miller is now 0-for-his-last-17 amidst a stretch of five consecutive hitless games.

Oct. 18: Peoria 9, Salt River 0
Two Padres prospects stood out on Friday for Peoria. Reggie Lawson’s first AFL start was a success, as he worked four scoreless innings. The right-hander, who missed most of the 2019 regular season to injury, racked up six strikeouts to go with a hit and a walk allowed. He’s posted a 0.71 WHIP over seven innings of work this fall. Catcher Logan Driscoll continued to rake early in his Fall League campaign, recording three hits, including an RBI single in the eighth inning, and scoring two runs. Osvaldo Hernandez and Reiss Knehr each tossed a scoreless frame out of the Javelinas’ bullpen. Hernandez lowered his Fall League ERA to 18.56 with the scoreless outing, which was his second in five appearances. Knehr, a 6-foot-2 right-hander, allowed two baserunners but also notched a strikeout and ran his fastball up to 96 mph.

Oct. 17: Scheduled day off for all Arizona Fall League teams.

Oct. 16: Salt River 4, Peoria 2
Owen Miller’s AFL average dropped to .162 in 14 games with an 0-for-4 performance for Peoria.

Oct 15: Surprise 3, Peoria 0
Owen Miller struck out twice in three trips to the plate to drop his average to .176. Elliot Ashbeck, fresh off of his appearance in the Fall Stars Game, lowered his ERA to 1.74 by tossing two perfect frames out of Peoria’s bullpen. The right-hander recorded three groundouts and threw 13 of 17 pitches for strikes.

Oct. 14: Surprise 1, Peoria 0
Neither Owen Miller nor Hudson Potts collected a hit for Peoria, combining for three strikeouts across seven at-bats. The club’s Nos. 10 and 11 prospects, respectively, have both scuffled during their time in Arizona.

Oct. 11: Peoria 8, Glendale 3
Osvaldo Hernandez and Reiss Knehr delivered scoreless frames out of the ‘pen for Peoria. For Hernandez, it was his first appearance of the fall in which he kept the opposition off of the scoreboard. He retired all three batters that he faced, striking out one. Knehr, the Long Island native, walked one but got a double play behind him to polish off the Javelinas’ win.

Oct. 10: Glendale 5, Peoria 2
Logan Driscoll’s first AFL at-bat ended with a thunderous thump as the catcher slugged a solo shot deep into the right-field bullpen. Driscoll, who was selected in the second round of the 2019 Draft out of George Mason, also showed off his arm behind the plate as he caught a runner straying too far from first to conclude the top of the seventh. He homered again in the bottom of the eighth, finishing 2-for-3 and accounting for all of the Javelinas’ offense. No. 10 prospect Owen Miller and Hudson Potts (No. 11) both had 0-for-3 days at the plate, with Miller walking once.

Adrian Morejon, San Diego’s No. 7 prospect, got the start for Peoria on Thursday, making his AFL debut. He tossed two frames and struck out three, displaying three strong pitches in his arsenal. Aside from a lined single to left, he was generally sharp against Glendale, retiring six of the eight batters that he faced. After having made his MLB debut with the Padres earlier this year, Morejon looks to continue refining his stuff with only 164 1/3 career Minor League innings under his belt. Reggie Lawson (No. 21) also made his first AFL appearance and worked three innings of relief, with a solo home run serving as the only run scored against him. There was some hard contact made against him in his final inning of work, but he finished Thursday tossing 28 of his 41 pitches for strikes, striking out two in the process.

Oct. 9: Peoria 3, Scottsdale 1
Elliot Ashbeck threw 10 of his 14 pitches for strikes and faced just three batters in his lone inning of relief. Ashbeck walked the first batter he faced, Heliot Ramos (Giants), but he was eventually caught stealing. The next two batters flew out and struck out, respectively. Hudson Potts drew a walk, but otherwise went 0-for-3.

Oct. 8: Peoria 3, Scottsdale 2
Owen Miller was the only Padres prospect in action Tuesday and went 1-for-4 as Peoria’s second baseman. He’s batting .220 in the Fall League and has hit safely in five of his past six contests.

Oct. 7: Scheduled day off for all Arizona Fall League teams.

Oct. 6: Mesa 4, Peoria 2
Hudson Potts notched base hits in each of his first two at-bats to raise his average to .250 in the AFL. The performance marked the first multihit contest of the fall for the third baseman. Owen Miller had his streak of five consecutive games with an RBI snapped, but he managed to record his sixth hit over his last five outings. Reiss Knehr, a 22-year-old lefty, allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits, including a solo home run, while working an inning out of Peoria’s bullpen.

Oct. 5: Peoria 9, Salt River 7
Hudson Potts cranked an RBI ground-rule double amid Peoria’s six-run sixth. Both the extra-base hit and his RBI were his second in the AFL, as he finished the day 1-for-5 with five runners left on. Osvaldo Hernandez gave up a grand slam in his one-inning, five-run outing for Peoria. Of the five total grand slams hit so far this fall, three have been off Hernandez, who gave up five hits and a walk on Saturday.

Oct. 4: Salt River 10, Peoria 9
Jacob Nix allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits in 2 2/3 innings for Peoria in his AFL debut. The Padres’ No. 28 prospect issued one walk and struck out three while spinning 29 of 47 pitches for strikes. Per Statcast, Nix sat at 90-93 mph with his fastball and was effective with his low-80s slider, throwing seven of 15 pitches for strikes, including three whiffs. He also utilized a changeup and a curveball in the outing.

Owen Miller was held hitless on Friday, going 0-for-4, though he did drive in a pair of runs for the Javelinas via a first-inning ground out and a sacrifice fly in the following frame.

Oct. 3: Scheduled day off for all Arizona Fall League teams.

Oct. 2: Peoria 2, Glendale 0
Owen Miller hit a fourth-inning solo home run to double Peoria’s lead and prove to be half of the Javelinas’ offense Wednesday. It was his only hit in four at-bats and his first dinger of the Fall League season. The Padres’ No. 10 prospect had a solid season for Double-A Amarillo, batting .290 with 43 extra-base hits in 130 games. Reiss Knehr twirled two scoreless frames out of the bullpen, allowing a hit and issuing two walks while striking out three batters. He’s bounced back after a rough first outing this fall, giving up four earned runs in his first appearance but spinning four scoreless frames since.

Oct. 1: Peoria 3, Surprise 1
Owen Miller put Peoria on the board with an RBI single in his second at-bat before finishing 1-for-4. Hudson Potts was held hitless, going 0-for-3. They’re batting .240 and .214, respectively, so far this fall. Elliot Ashbeck tossed two scoreless frames in a strong relief outing for Peoria. He threw 18 of 30 pitches for strikes, as he allowed one hit and struck out a pair against Surprise.

Sept. 30: Scheduled day off for all Arizona Fall League teams.

Sept. 29: Surprise 11, Peoria 4
Left-hander Osvaldo Hernandez came on in relief with two outs in the seventh inning for Peoria, and also pitched the eighth, giving up a run on three hits, walking one and fanning three.

Sept. 28: Peoria 9, Glendale 4
Owen Miller had a big day out of the No. 2 spot in the Javelinas’ lineup, finishing 3-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and an RBI. The club’s No. 10 prospect scored on two different base hits from Mariners prospect Julio Rodriguez, and drove in a run of his own on a single to right in the eighth inning. Hudson Potts struck out in three of his four at-bats Saturday, but he did pick up a single and a sacrifice fly to finish 1-for-4 with an RBI.

Sept. 27: Peoria 5, Glendale 2
Reiss Knehr struck out two in two scoreless innings, over which he allowed just a pair of singles.

Sept. 26: Thursday's game between Scottsdale and Peoria was rained out and will not be made up.

Sept. 25: Surprise 6, Peoria 2
Owen Miller went 0-for-3 as the leadoff batter for the Javelinas, but knocked in a run on a sac fly. He struck out once as his batting clip moved to 2-for-15 (.133) in four games. Luis Capusano finished 0-for-2 with a strikeout as Peoria’s DH before he was replaced in the five-hole. Elliot Ashbeck surrendered two runs on two hits and a walk in 1 1/3 innings of relief.

Sept. 24: Surprise 6, Peoria 4
Hudson Potts hit his first triple of the Fall League season, finishing 1-for-4 for Peoria. Owen Miller batted 1-for-5 and scored a run. Osvaldo Hernandez was charged with the loss, issuing four walks and serving up a grand slam in a five-run, one-inning outing.

Sept. 23: Scheduled day off for all Arizona Fall League teams.

Sept. 22: Surprise 2, Peoria 1
No. 6 prospect (No. 87 in MLB) Luis Campusano served as Peoria’s DH on Sunday and went 0-for-3 with a pair of strikeouts. He’s off to a slow 1-for-11 start.

Sept. 21: Mesa 4, Peoria 1
Owen Miller collected his first hit of the season with a sixth-inning double. The infielder, who was a 2018 third-round Draft pick, went 1-for-4 as Peoria’s second baseman. Hudson Potts notched a single in his first AFL game, finishing 1-for-3. Reiss Knehr was charged with a blown save, allowing four runs and a homer in two innings of relief. The 2018 20th-round Draft pick struck out two and walked two.

Sept. 20: Peoria 5, Mesa 1
Southpaw Elliot Ashbeck picked up the win for Peoria with four solid innings on the mound. The 25-year-old right hander, a 16th-round pick from the 2015 Draft, allowed no hits and struck out four in his outing. Ashbeck did issue a pair of walks and hit a batter, but he finished strong, retiring the final seven batters he faced.

Owen Miller scored a run but finished 0-for-4. Luis Campusano struck out twice in an 0-for-4 effort.

Sept. 19: Peoria 10, Glendale 3
No. 6 prospect Luis Campusano (No. 87 in MLB) was the only Padres prospect to see action in Thursday’s 10-3 Peoria victory. The catcher served as the Javelinas’ designated hitter in his AFL debut, and he went 1-for-4 with a pair of RBIs. His two-run single with two outs in the fourth gave Peoria a 7-2 lead at the time.

Sept. 18: Peoria 10, Salt River 6
None of the Padres prospects playing for the Peoria Javelinas appeared in Wednesday’s opening game. Catcher Luis Campusano (No. 6 on Padres list; No. 87 on MLB) did look very impressive in BP.
