The Padres have designated seats in Petco Park specifically for guests with disabilities in each of the following categories: Wheelchair Accessible, Semi-Ambulatory, and Transfer Seats.
- Wheelchair spaces are available for guests with disabilities who utilize a wheelchair.
- Semi-Ambulatory seats are available for guests with disabilities who require additional leg room beyond the minimum of twenty-four (24) inches traditional ballpark seating provides.
- Transfer seats are available for guests with disabilities who require an armless aisle seat.
Dietary Restrictions
The San Diego Padres permit guests to bring food into Petco Park intended for individual consumption (not for groups of individuals) and should be consumed in one’s seat. Outside food cannot be brought into any ballpark restaurant, club lounge, or suite. Guests must also adhere to the following:
- All food items should be wrapped, bagged, or left inside a container to avoid spillage.
- Food that might be thrown as a projectile must be sliced or sectioned (i.e., oranges, apples, and other fruits).
- Food containers must be soft-sided and comply with Petco Park bag policies.
- Guests are allowed to bring one factory-sealed plastic bottled water that is still, clear, and unflavored and that is one (1) liter and soft-sided single juice or milk containers or ADA required liquids in a sealed container.
- One (1) liter reusable water bottles (no glass) are permitted and must be empty upon entry into the ballpark.
- California liquor regulations prohibit guests from bringing alcoholic beverages into Petco Park. Security officers at every gate will inspect packages, bags, and purses to prevent guests from bringing bottles, cans, or any other type of liquid containers of alcohol into Petco Park.
Electrical Outlets (ADA Power Stations)
Electrical outlets for recharging wheelchairs and other necessary equipment are located in many seating areas designated for guests with disabilities. Please call .619.795.5555 to request this option when purchasing tickets. If assistance is needed during your visit to Petco Park, please notify the nearest Guest Services Representative.

Guests with disabilities have priority on all public elevators at Petco Park. Guests with disabilities can utilize a number of elevators located throughout Petco Park. Elevators to access various ballpark levels are located near Sections 111, 114, 117, 137, 201, 217, 226, 235, 300, 311, 317, 314, 328, inside the Western Metal Supply Co. Padres will make efforts to accommodate all reasonable requests for services and requests made less than 10 days in advance to the extent possible.
Secondary Ticket Market
Gifting or reselling of accessible seats to an individual who does not require a wheelchair accommodation, will require that the user visit or call the Padres Ticket Office prior to the game and exchange their ticket. It is the responsibility of the ticket holder to communicate this policy to the ticket user. Under such circumstances, the ticket holder may request that the Padres exchange wheelchair accessible game tickets for other comparable seat locations, which the Padres may accommodate subject to availability.
Sensory Inclusion (Sensory Bags, Sensory Map, Social Story)
We are proud to partner with KultureCity and offer sensory bags at our Sensory Activation Vehicle in Park Blvd Plaza and Guest Services locations at 108, 131, 303. Our sensory bags, which are all cleaned between uses, include noise-cancelling headphones, fidget toys, a feeling thermometer, and wristbands for parents to write their phone number on. Identification will be required when checking out a bag. Before coming to a Padres game, be sure to review our Sensory Map as well as our Sensory Story.
Service Animals
Service animals are welcomed at Petco Park. In keeping with U.S. ADA regulations, disabled guests may use either a dog or miniature horse that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the guest. The work or tasks performed by the service animal must be directly related to the guest's disability. As such, animals that solely provide emotional support or companionship to a guest will not be permitted inside the ballpark.
There are select promotional dates (e.g., Bark at the Park), a limited number of pets are permitted into certain areas of the ballpark with the purchase of a Theme Game package. Exceptions will be made at the discretion and authorization of the San Diego Padres.
When Gallagher Square is open to the public, the City of San Diego enforces the "leash law" as stated in San Diego Municipal Code §63.0102 Use of Public Parks and Beaches Regulated (b)(2).
