Noah Garden

Deputy Commissioner, Business & Media

As Deputy Commissioner, Business & Media for Major League Baseball, Noah Garden reports directly to Commissioner Robert D. Manfred, Jr. and oversees the league’s revenue-generating departments including Broadcasting, Business & Media Development, Global Consumer Products, Global Corporate Partnerships, Global Media, Sports Betting, Video Games and more. In addition, Garden leads all of MLB’s marketing efforts and content operations, focusing on reaching fans globally through social media, MLB’s digital platforms, MLB Network, and a wide-array of brand partnerships.

Under Commissioner Manfred’s “One Baseball” approach, Garden has led MLB to reach an all-time high in business and media revenue. Garden’s department has formed new relationships and expanded long-term partnerships with prominent brands including Anheuser-Busch, Apple, Capital One, Chevrolet, Google Cloud, Mastercard, New Era Cap, Nike and T-Mobile. Under Garden’s leadership, MLB became the first major American sports league to partner with a CBD company when it signed a long-term deal with Charlotte’s Web in 2022. During Garden’s tenure as CRO, MLB has innovated game production & distribution with FOX, ESPN and WBD Sports while taking over local media rights for the San Diego Padres and Arizona Diamondbacks resulting in the removal of local blackouts for those Clubs. In addition, Garden developed a jersey patch partner program for Clubs to better realize their respective values and introduced the Nike City Connect Uniform Series, the most successful consumer products initiative in MLB history.

Garden joined MLB Advanced Media in January 2001 and eventually oversaw MLBAM’s ticketing, sponsorship, and advertising departments before being named an MLB Executive Vice President in December 2014. Prior to MLB, Garden worked for Outpost.com, Staples, PC Connection and Marshalls, where he held a variety of senior merchandising, product marketing and business development positions.
