PITTSBURGH -- Pirates right-hander Tyler Glasnow, who has been sidelined with shoulder issues, threw a bullpen session on Friday, tossing 30 pitches.
"He had no issues in the session," Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said Saturday.
Glasnow, the Bucs' No. 1 prospect, according to MLBPipeline.com, has been out since July 24. The next step is to map out a rehab start.
The 6-foot-8 Glasnow was terrific in Triple-A this year, posting a 1.94 ERA through 18 games. In two Major League starts, he is 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA.
