Padres Minor League Report: April 27

Former Padres starter Robbie Erlin allowed one run on seven hits and a walk over six innings Sunday to pick up his third win for Triple-A El Paso, and catcher Griff Erickson continued his hot hitting for Double-A San Antonio.
The left-handed Erlin struck out three in El Paso's 2-1 win over Salt Lake in Texas. He improved to 3-1 while lowering his ERA to 4.50.
Right-hander Nick Vincent (1.08 ERA) allowed two hits with two strikeouts in 1 2/3 scoreless innings as El Paso improved to 12-6. Closer Marcos Mateo (0.90 ERA) struck out two in 1 1/3 scoreless innings to pick up his fifth save.
Center fielder Abraham Almonte (.296) was 2-for-4 with a double and scored both Chihuahuas runs. Right fielder Rymer Liriano (.290) was 1-for-2 with a RBI and a walk.
Westview High grad Erickson (.348) was 3-for-5 with a double Sunday. The 27-year-old catcher is 5-for-9 over the past two days with a double and three RBIs in San Antonio's 3-2, 12-inning loss at Midland.
Center fielder Travis Jankowski (.356) was 4-for-6 with two steals and a run scored for the 6-10 Missions. Infielder Diego Goris (.300) was 2-for-4 with a walk.
Right-handed starter Justin Hancock (3.68 ERA) allowed two runs on nine hits and two walks with three strikeouts over six innings.
Casey Kelly (10.80 ERA) walked one and struck out two in a scoreless inning, and Michael Dimock (0.00 ERA) struck out four in three perfect innings. Right-hander Tayron Guerrero (0-1, 8.10 ERA) allowed a run on four hits with two strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings to take the loss.

Starting pitcher Ron Herrera (2-1, 3.27 ERA) allowed two hits and two walks seven strikeouts over six innings. Left fielder Nick Schulz (.278) was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored. First baseman Marcus Davis was 3-for-5 with three RBIs. Right fielder Yale Rosen had two doubles in five at-bats with an RBI, and center fielder Auston Bousfield (.281) was 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI. Catcher Adolfo Reina was 2-for-4 and DH Kyle Gaedele was 1-for-3 with three RBIs.
CLASS A FORT WAYNE (5-10): South Bend 7, TIN CAPS 1
Fort Wayne, which entered the day leading the Midwest League in hitting, tallied only one hit. That was a double by second baseman Felipe Blanco, who was 1-for-2 with a walk. Starting pitcher Taylor Cox (0-2, 6.00 ERA) allowed four runs (three earned) on three hits and five walks with three strikeouts in four innings.
