is officially a member of the Mets, with New York announcing on Wednesday that the club has signed the biggest free-agent prize of this offseason to a 15-year contract with a club option and contingent player opt-out after the 2029 season.

Next up: The Mets will officially announce the signing of Soto during a press conference at Citi Field on Thursday at 3 p.m. ET (which you can watch live on MLB.com). Owner, chairman and CEO Steven A. Cohen as well as president of baseball operations David Stearns will be on hand to welcome Soto to Queens.

Soto's 15-year, $765 million contract is the largest pact in Major League Baseball history.
