NEW YORK -- After an emotional evening on Saturday night, playing next to his longtime teammate and friend David Wright for the final time, Jose Reyes took the field on Sunday afternoon at Citi Field, likely for the last time in a Mets uniform.
"I know today's going to be my last day with this team so, I have to be honest," Reyes said before the game. "Right now, I don't know how it's going to be out there, but I'm going to enjoy it and play."
Reyes batted in the leadoff spot and grounded out to second in his only at-bat. 
In between innings, the song "Ole, Ole, Ole" blasted from the Citi Field speakers, the chorus that Mets fans have replaced with Jose's name. Then the song "All I Do Is Win" came on as Reyes was shown hugging his teammates in the dugout. Reyes then ran out and acknowledged the fans as they applauded No. 7 for his Mets career.

"The player who gave everything he had to this team and this organization," Reyes said when asked what he wants to be remembered for. "Every time that I take the field I give 110 percent and try to do my best."
Although this was not the way Reyes wanted to end his career as a Met, he was extremely thankful for the fans and the way they have recognized him at the end of the season and likely the end of his Met career.
"In the ups and downs, they had my back. I know this season was the worst season in my career and they support me a lot and I appreciate that from the fans and for all of the love that they show me."
