Sandlot Stars

The Amazin’ Mets Foundation partners with Pitch In For Baseball & Softball to purchase brand new equipment for youth baseball, softball, and t-ball teams. Through our Sandlot Stars program, the Foundation has provided brand new equipment to over 9,000 youth baseball and softball players in New York City, New Jersey, Long Island, Syracuse, Port St. Lucie.

As part of the Futuras Estrellas program, which strives to break down access barriers and increase opportunities for young boys and girls to become future ballplayers, the Foundation traveled to the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico for the first time, to donate brand new equipment to 100 baseball and softball teams.

The Foundation visited several cities on both islands, spanning over 250 miles and impacting more than 800 children.
