The Mariners host Silent Auctions at each Saturday home game to benefit Mariners Care. Fans have the opportunity to bid on select memorabilia including autographed baseballs, game-used bats, autographed jerseys worn in the Mariners TV commercials, and several other unique items. The Silent Auctions, held at Section 128 at T-Mobile Park, begin when the gates open and conclude at the end of the sixth inning. In 2019, the Mariners Care Silent Auctions raised $124,562. Since 2000, the Silent Auctions have now raised over $1.86 million for Mariners Care.
Fundraisers
ROOT SPORTS and the Seattle Mariners teamed up to host the ninth annual on-line tele-auction during the June 4th telecast to raise funds for Mariners Care. In 2019, the event raised $77,850. Mariners Care Charity Night 2020 will be on June 1.
Mariner fans have the opportunity to test their arms against the Major Leaguers with an official radar gun at the Mariners Care Speed Pitch machine located on the main concourse in center field. Proceeds from the Mariners Care Speed Pitch machine benefit Mariners Care. $38,932 was raised in 2019.
On August 9th, the Mariners Wives auctioned off their husband's and significant other's "Favorite Things Baskets" to benefit Mariners Care. Baskets included autographed memorabilia, snacks, movies, and other items that helped fans better understand the players' unique personalities. Thanks to all participating fans, $24,412 was raised for Mariners Care.
On June 21, the Mariners Wives sold Mystery Bags containing a baseball autographed by one of the 2019 Seattle Mariners. Thanks to all participating fans the Mystery Bag sale raised $12,600 for Mariners Care. Mariners Care is the Mariners non-profit foundation that helps raise funds for a variety of youth-oriented community organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest.
