Brailyn missed the 2021 and 2022 season due to left shoulder tendonitis and left shoulder surgery....Was non-tendered by the Cubs Nov. 18, 2022 and re-signed to a minor league contract with a Spring Training invite Dec. 5....Made the jump from Single-A to the majors as he made his major league debut at the end of the 2020 60-game season....Was ranked by MLB.com as the Cubs top prospect entering the 2021 season...finished the season as the Cubs' No. 2 prospect according to MLB.com....Is 16-12 with a complete game shutout and a 3.19 ERA (91 ER/257.0 IP) in 57 career Minor League games, all but two as a starter....Has struck out 287 batters and walked 101 in 257 Minor League innings, good for 10.1 strikeouts per 9.0 innings....Named a 2019 Midwest League mid-season All-Star with Single-A South Bend...was also named an MiLB.com Organizational All-Star... Entered 2019 ranked as the organization's third-best prospect by Baseball America....Was a Northwest League mid-season All-Star for the first time in 2018, also being named a year-end All-Star by the league....Signed with the Cubs as a non-drafted free agent, Aug. 23, 2015.

Brailyn missed the entire 2022 season due to a left shoulder injury and subsequent surgery.

2021

Brailyn was placed on Double-A Tennessee's injured list July 22 and missed the entire 2021 season due to left shoulder tendonitis.

2020

Brailyn made his major league debut on the season’s last day, September 27 at the White Sox, throwing 0.2 innings of relief (5 ER)…had never pitched beyond Single-A prior to his big league appearance...spent majority of the summer at the South Bend alternate site.
