Vice President & Assistant General Manager
Alex Slater is in his 10th season with the Dodgers and third in his role as Vice President, Assistant General Manager. In this role, Slater works closely with President, Baseball Operations Andrew Friedman and Executive Vice President and General Manager Brandon Gomes on player personnel, roster management and construction, contract negotiations and overseeing the Baseball Strategy and Information departments as well as Baseball Systems. Before earning his promotion, Slater was previously the Assistant Director of Scouting and the Director of Baseball Operations for Los Angeles.
Prior to his time with the Dodgers, Slater graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and then worked with the San Diego Padres in their pro scouting department.
Slater is a San Francisco native and lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Lauren, and their son, Alden.
