Scully congratulates Dodgers on title
It's time for a Dodgers World Series!
The Dodgers have done it. After a 32-year World Series drought, Los Angeles defeated the Rays, 3-1, in Game 6 on Tuesday night to capture the World Series. It's the team's seventh World Series title -- and the first without legendary broadcaster Vin Scully on the mic.
But have no fear, he was on Twitter as soon as the game ended to give the team a hearty congratulations:
Because Scully is the consummate professional, he also had a video message on hand. Now, you may think he prerecorded this, but I say that Scully can obviously see the future.
Or, more likely, Scully's not afraid of any jinxes -- something he made clear back in 1960!
So, be like Vin Scully: Celebrate responsibly, and then make charming videos where you say things like, "Congratulations to the ballclub. Congratulations to you."
