THE LOS ANGELES DODGERS FOUNDATION 50/50 RAFFLE
Official RulesOverview: The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation will conduct 50/50 Raffles at Los Angeles Dodgers home games. A 50/50 Raffle is a raffle where the prize to the winning ticket holder is one-half (or 50%) of the gross receipts generated from the sale of raffle tickets at a single Dodgers game. The remaining one-half (or 50%) of the gross receipts is retained by The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation to benefit or support its charitable purposes. All Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation 50/50 Raffle tickets, transactions, participants, purchasers and winners are subject to these Official Rules, and to all applicable statutes, rules and regulations, including but not limited to the State of California Penal Code and the California Bureau of Gambling Control rules and regulations promulgated thereunder, and all other applicable rules and regulations adopted by any regulatory and/or enforcement agency having jurisdiction with respect to the activities to which these Official Rules apply. The 50/50 Raffles will be operated exclusively by The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, and not by Los Angeles Dodgers LLC (the "Dodgers") or any of the other MLB Entities (as defined below).
Ticket Purchase: The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation 50/50 Raffle fundraisers will be conducted at select Dodgers home games at Dodger Stadium during the 2024 Major League Baseball season. Raffle tickets will be sold from the time the stadium gates open through the end of the 7th inning. The winning ticket number will be drawn on or about the middle of the 8th inning, and the winning number and final jackpot total will be posted on the Dodger-Vision video display board and announced via the public address system on or about the top of the 9th inning at Dodger Stadium.
Raffle tickets can be purchased (i) at four 50/50 Raffle kiosks located in the Field Level by Section 13, on the Loge Level concourse by Section 103/105, on the Reserve Level concourse by Section 10, and the LADF Homebase located in Centerfield or (ii) from a 50/50 Raffle seller (wearing a pink 50/50 Raffle apron with a logo on front and back) roaming throughout Dodger Stadium.
Entry: Tickets may be purchased with credit in United States dollars (U.S. $) as follows:
- 5 entries for $20
- 20 entries for $40
- 100 entries for $100
- 300 entries for $150
Raffle tickets will be sold only in areas where an event ticket is required for admission to view the game. Each ticket is a receipt for the purchaser and represents one (1) entry for that game's 50/50 Raffle and is not eligible for any past or future 50/50 Raffle drawing. The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation is not responsible for printing errors in any raffle-related material or any misdirected, incomplete, lost, late or illegible tickets or other errors or problems that may limit the entrant's ability to participate in or win any 50/50 Raffle. False or deceptive entries or acts by the purchaser will render the purchaser ineligible. Entrants may purchase as many tickets as they wish, subject to availability. A raffle ticket is not transferrable or assignable from its purchaser to any other person. All sales of raffle tickets are final; no refunds will be made under any circumstances. Raffle ticket purchases are not tax deductible.
The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation has the right to suspend the raffle at any time during the scheduled game due to any unforeseen incidents that result in The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation being unable to conduct the 50/50 Raffle (for example, weather delay, power outage, emergency, or other unforeseeable circumstances). In that case, the raffle ticket sales will terminate and the raffle drawing will be postponed until the unforeseen incident no longer interferes with the conduct of the 50/50 Raffle.
Eligibility: The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation 50/50 Raffle is open to all ticket holders to Los Angeles Dodgers home games who: (i) are eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of entry; (ii) are physically present at Dodger Stadium; and (iii) provide valid government-issued identification. By purchasing a raffle ticket, the entrant agrees to abide by all terms of these Official Rules applicable thereto subject to all federal, state, local and municipal laws and regulations. Some restrictions apply. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
No person affiliated with The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, the Dodgers, or a registered manufacturer and distributor of raffle-related products or services used for the 50/50 Raffle, including any affiliated person, or any employee or agent, may participate in any 50/50 Raffle as a raffle ticket purchaser or receive a raffle prize. This applies to all post season games.
Drawing: Every transaction will be electronically tallied. The running total will be periodically displayed and updated in real time on the Dodger-Vision video display board and at various locations throughout Dodger Stadium. The winning ticket number will be drawn by hand out of the raffle drum that contains every raffle number ticket that has printed throughout the game as the corresponding raffle tickets were sold throughout Dodger Stadium. Raffle sales will end at the conclusion of the 7th inning and the drawing will happen on or about the middle of the 8th inning. Ticket holders need not be present to win. The winner need not be present to claim his/her prize. One (1) winner will be chosen out of the pool of purchased tickets for that game. The decisions of The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation are final and binding on all matters relating to any raffle.
Winner Notification: The winning ticket number will be posted on the Dodger-Vision video display board and announced via the public address system on or about the top of the 9th inning at Dodger Stadium. If the Dodger-Vision video display board is inoperable, the winning ticket number will be posted on the monitor at the three 50/50 Raffle kiosk locations described above and on the in-stadium TV screens along the bottom right corner of the screens. In the case of a discrepancy between the announced number and the actual number, the actual number drawn will be considered to be the valid winning ticket. Your raffle ticket includes the email address [email protected] and the phone number 323-224-2615 that you can contact to learn the winning raffle number at the end of the game. The winning number will also be posted on dodgers.com/5050raffle within three (3) business days of the game date. The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation has no obligation to contact the winning ticket holder directly.
Prize: Each prize is cash and the amount depends on the sales of the raffle tickets. Each winning prize, in the form of a check or direct deposit, shall be paid to each raffle winner within four (4) to six (6) weeks of the claim date via U.S. mail once the potential winner has provided all documentation required by The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation and by applicable law. Each raffle winner will receive one-half (1/2) of the total gross receipts collected by The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation for the 50/50 Raffle on the applicable game day. No substitutes for the cash prize will be allowed.
To claim your winning prize, potential winners should go to the main reception area on the Club Level, 3rd base side of Dodger Stadium or call 323-224-4260. The purchased Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation 50/50 Raffle ticket is the only valid receipt for claiming a prize and must be redeemed in person. The potential raffle winner will be required to submit his/her valid social security number and appropriate identification to The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation and will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability and Publicity Release and all applicable tax forms.
Failure to submit any identification or failure to return required documents to The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation within the specified time period, noncompliance with these Official Rules, or return of any prize or prize notification as undeliverable, may result in disqualification and the prize being forfeited. Any forfeited prize money will be retained by The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation. Potential winners may also choose to waive their right to receive a prize at which time the prize from that drawing will be forfeited and the prize money will be retained by The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation.
All raffle winners will be subject to the Internal Revenue Service ("IRS") and California Franchise Tax Board rules and regulations regarding gambling winnings. The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation must comply with all reporting requirements on the prize amounts imposed by state, local and/or federal laws. Each winner assumes all responsibility for any state, local or federal taxes, fees or other government assessments on the prize amount. Federal tax law requires that a tax withholding on certain raffle prize values must be collected from the winner before distribution of the prize. Each winner is advised to consult his/her own tax advisor(s) with respect to the liabilities that may arise from winning a prize in the 50/50 Raffle.
All Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation 50/50 Raffle winners will have until thirty (30) days following the conclusion of the applicable game date to claim their prize. If a prize remains unclaimed after thirty (30) days following the conclusion of the date of the 50/50 Raffle, the unclaimed prize money will be retained by The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation.
