Science of Baseball

The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Science of Baseball curriculum provides hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) curriculum and programming to elementary and middle school teachers and students in Los Angeles. As part of LADF’s continued commitment to STEM funding, this curriculum was developed through a grant to Science of Sport, to educate young people and spark curiosity in these subjects.

To date, over 370 teachers have been trained from LAUSD, Inglewood Unified School District, and Compton Unified School District, serving over 25,700 students. The LADF Science of Baseball curriculum utilizes baseball examples to improve student interest and performance in STEM. This curriculum has been designed for 3rd-8th grades.
