The annual STEM Showcase Inspired by Honeywell will take place during the D-backs vs. Brewers game on Saturday, September 14. Fans can visit STEM displays throughout the ballpark and have the chance to win prizes by participating in a scavenger hunt.
D-backs and Honeywell STEM Programs
The Diamondbacks and Honeywell donated over 3,000 new backpacks and school supplies at nine schools in Phoenix. Each student received a new backpack filled with supplies and a special STEM storybook featuring Corbin Carroll.
The Arizona Diamondbacks and Honeywell are proud to support STEM learning and robotics in Arizona through the D-backs and Honeywell Futureshaper Robotics Program. The program is comprised of initiatives that provide resources and guidance for new and established robotics programs at every level. The Arizona Diamondbacks and Honeywell are deeply committed to supporting outstanding STEM educators and education initiatives. During the 2024 season, the Arizona Diamondbacks and Honeywell Futureshaper STEM Grants Program will support 10 schools with a $5,000 grant to bring STEM projects to life. Grants will be awarded between April and September, and at the end of the season, one school with a particularly innovative idea will be selected to receive a $15,000 grant.
Each year the D-backs and Honeywell create STEM storybooks featuring D-backs mascot D. Baxter. In addition to being distributed at select home games, D. STEM Sunday Inspired by Honeywell takes place during each D-backs Sunday home game. Honeywell STEM experts will be on hand in the Sandlot (left field, upper concourse) to demonstrate 3D printers, drones, and more.
