A kneeling Yoenis Cespedes barehanded Yadier Molina's single like it was no big deal

Some players have a distinctive flair that sets them apart from their peers. Yoenis Céspedes is certainly one of those special talents, capable of some magic on the field whether at the plate or manning the outfield.
InWednesday's Mets-Cardinals game, ultimately won by St. Louis, 8-1, Cespedes found himself in a bit of a pickle when Yadier Molina cracked a single to left field. Cespedes, having taken a knee in pursuit of the ball, had no time to do anything but instinctively reach up and barehand the ball off a bounce, since he's capable of such things:

This isn't the first time Cespedes has relied on his manual dexterity while fielding a ball in the outfield this season, mind you. While this is admittedly a rather unorthodox thing for a fielder to do, it's worth noting that he'd probably have a decent chance of throwing somebody out should the ball get away from him on account of this:

That happened, and could very well happen again sometime thanks to Yoenis' Cespedes-ness out there on the field. Yo knows defensive unpredictability, for sure.
