Get ready to spit your pits, because Traverse City just became the Pit Spitters
When in Traverse City, Mich., you have some choices. You could go to the Dennos Museum Center for some art, check out some vineyards or hit the beach. But let's be real: You're only there for one thing, and that's cherries and the pits that you get to spit. Because why even bother eating a cherry if you're not gonna ptew them around town?
Now there's a baseball team that represents that very idea: the Traverse City Pit Spitters. The team, which plays in the collegiate Northwoods League, just unveiled their brand new cherry-centered logo:
Just Unveiled! The all new “Traverse City Pit Spitters!” 🍒💨

Known as the “Cherry Capital of the World,” the five counties around Traverse City make up the region that produces 40% of the annual tart cherry crop in America! pic.twitter.com/5z1dCtvkuQ
Now we just have to wonder if there will be cherry spittoons littered throughout the stadium for easy pit spitting access.
