The Sky Sox want to give Fergie a second chance to sing the national anthem at a game

The rendition of the national anthem by Fergie during Sunday night's NBA All-Star Game will forever resonate with anyone who witnessed it -- especially those in attendance. And while the reactions to her performance remain a bit harsh, there is someone willing to give her a chance to redeem herself: Sox the Fox.
Sox the Fox is the mascot for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, the Triple-A affiliate for the Brewers -- and also a huge Fergie fan. He took to social media recently to let the pop star know she has an open invitation to the national anthem auditions held by the club. Yes, she still has to audition, but if she does get the gig, she will also have the opportunity to throw out the first pitch:

She was instructed to keep her audition in the acapella form and "only traditional renditions will be considered."
"It all started as a gag," Shane Philipps, director of public relations for the Sky Sox, told MLB.com. "And we thought 'Hey, Minor League ball is wacky.' Sure enough, the Minor League baseball gods made wacky turn awesome."
The Sky Sox also said they would be more than happy to host Fergie.
It's nice to know she still has support out there. Let's hope she responds.
