Get hyped: Dansby Swanson has arrived after getting the call from the Braves

On Tuesday, the Braves completed a trade, sending shortstop Erick Aybar to the Tigers for Mike Aviles and a wonderfully-named catching prospect, Kade Scivicque.
What makes this more than just an August waiver-wire transaction has to do with the roster implications for the Braves. Specifically, this:

Yes, Dansby Swanson, traded by the D-backs to Atlanta in the Shelby Miller deal back in the winter and MLB Pipeline's No. 1 prospect in the Atlanta organization, is on the cusp of making his debut in the Majors. Picked No. 1 in the 2015 Draft by Arizona, Swanson's made quick work of the Minors, so much so that he's bypassing Triple-A entirely in order to join the Braves on Wednesday.

As Jake and Jordan of the Cespedes Family BBQ found out during some one-on-one time with Swanson as part of their Minor League Road Trip earlier this summer, Swanson grew up a Georgia youth watching the Braves, giving his whole story a great narrative.
He also has an amazingly adorable dog, as memorialized in this GIF:

The Cespedes BBQ guys also caught up with Swanson again at the Futures Game back in July:

As for what Braves fans can expect to see from their organization's most-prized possession, Swanson hit .261/.342/.402 with eight homers, 45 RBIs in 84 games with Double-A Mississippi -- which, again, is the highest level of seasoning he's had prior to getting that phone call to The Show. Here he is making a slick play at short:

And here he is showing off his offensive skills, of which he has many:

Another product of the Vanderbilt baseball program, Swanson will join fellow alumni David Price, Sonny Gray, Pedro Álvarez, and Tony Kemp at the big league level.
Braves fans, a new era has arrived.
