Pirates prospect Mitch Keller was once stung by a bee during a start but kept on pitching

Pirates pitching prospect Mitch Keller hasn't had too much trouble on the mound since being selected in the second round of the 2014 Draft. The 22-year-old right-hander owns a career 3.01 ERA in 78 career Minor League starts, and was recently promoted to Triple-A Indianapolis. This consistent elite performance earned Keller a nod to start the game for Team USA. He did not disappoint:

It's clear that Keller has the confident demeanor to succeed at the Major League level. Before the Futures Game, Keller shared an example of when this poise was especially necessary -- when he was stung by a bee in the middle of a start.
Keller, a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, also shared a story about the time he saw an 18-year-old Mike Trout play for the Cedar Rapids Kernels in the Midwest League back in 2010, and how he waited in line to get his autograph.
Check out the video at the top of the page to hear the full stories from the talented young right-hander.
