The Cut4 Talkshow returns to answer a pressing question: To do the wave or not do the wave?

Last Wednesday, the Mets topped the Marlins, 5-2, behind seven strong innings from Bartolo Colon -- a crucial win over a fellow NL Wild Card contender. After the game, though, Noah Syndergaard had something to say: You see, some fans at Citi Field had briefly considered getting the wave started in the eighth inning, and Thor couldn't let that stand.

Syndergaard's Twitter campaign marks just the latest and most heated chapter in the Great Wave War of 2016. Is it a fun, harmless gesture of collective fandom, or a relentless nuisance to those who just want to watch their baseball in peace?
We tried to settle the debate, thanks to the return of the Cut4 Talkshow: a live text chat in which we hashed things out while sharing our hottest wave takes. Why is the wave so reviled? What are the Official Rules of Doing the Wave? Just what does Misty Copeland have to do with any of this? There's only one way to find out -- and make sure to vote in the poll at the bottom.
And here's some more discussion, just in case you need to be further convinced one way or the other:

You've heard our arguments, but now it's time for you to have the final say.
