For $5, you can choose an opposing player's walkup song at this Minor League ballpark
There are few things fans can do to get into players' heads on the baseball field. They can make funny faces at a pitcher from behind home plate, they can boo loudly from the stands, they can sometimes, somehow, call off an outfielder on a fly ball down the line.
Well, this season, an A's Minor League team is giving fans one more way to mess with a batter's focus during a game:
Here's one we're very excited about: Beginning Opening Night, fans can pick our opponents' walk-up music. $5 ensures the song will be assigned to a random player, while $10 allows fans to pick a specific player in the lineup. Yes, it could be "Loser," "Barbie Girl" or plain old "Trash." Just don't choose "Baby Shark" -- that seems to have the opposite effect.
