Brock Holt chose Whitney Houston as his walkup song after watching 'The Bodyguard' during the offseason

Brock Holt spent his offseason learning about a music legend -- the incomparable Whitney Houston.
"I got on a Whitney Houston kick this offseason, just listening to some of her stuff," Holt told MassLive. His wife, Lakyn, also convinced him to watch "The Bodyguard," and he did just that. The inspiration assisted in his decision to have the diva's smash hit "I Will Always Love You" as his walkup song during Sunday's 8-7 win over the Rays. The crowd loved it and appeared to change the mood of the game:

A two-out, six-run rally in the bottom of the eighth ensued and it happened just moments after his at-bat. Coincidence? Perhaps not.
Teammate Mitch Moreland thought he overheard Holt talking about using that as his warmup jam, but didn't think he would actually go through with it.

"That really set the tone to get the inning going right there," explained Moreland. "It was pretty cool."
Holt was also considering "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" as a possibility. Maybe this is the beginning of the greatest love of all.
