Miguel Cabrera used Spring Training to work on his hidden ball trick
Spring Training is an opportunity for players to get ready for the regular season and work on adding new dimensions to their game. That's as much the case for veterans as it is for young players.
During Monday's Grapefruit League game against the Twins, Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera showed that even after 16 seasons in the Majors, it's never too late to add a new trick to your repertoire:

That's right, Cabrera used a fake throw to the mound to catch Ehire Adrianza napping with the hidden ball trick. Adrianza probably didn't expect to see that at all, especially in Spring Training ... which only made it the perfect time for Miggy to pull it off.
The season may still be a few weeks away, but as Cabrera showed Monday, you can never sleep on a veteran. Those guys are wily.
