Junior Lake hit the ball twice on the same swing to make sure he got a hit
In the ninth inning of Sunday's Blue Jays-A's game, Junior Lake made poor contact on an inside fastball from John Axford -- probably a groundout to the left side of the infield. But instead of settling for the out and walking dejectedly back toward the dugout, Lake slowed down time Click-style and hit the pitch again with the sweet part of the bat -- depositing a single into center field.
Good thinking, Junior.
It's also a good thing Lake decided to tap into his supernatural abilities at this point in the ballgame. The hit sparked a rally that broke a tie and gave Toronto a 5-3 victory.
