Jay Bruce, traded to the Indians, already boasts impressive numbers at Progressive Field
MLB insider Ken Rosenthal did some Ken Rosenthal-type things on Wednesday night when he broke trade news on MLB Tonight. He announced Jay Bruce would be traded to the Indians from the Mets for right-handed pitcher Ryder Ryan. This means Bruce will return to the state of Ohio where he spent nine seasons playing for the Reds.
The three-time All-Star isn't a stranger to the Indians or their facilities by any means. His experience at Progressive Field is not only extensive, it's impressive as well.
In 23 games at Cleveland, Bruce is slashing a .384/.438/.593 line with a 1.031 OPS.
The ballpark isn't exactly known for being hitter-friendly, so the fact that Bruce has been able to take advantage of it shows one of the reasons perhaps the team decided to take a chance on the outfielder.
