Happy 32nd birthday to Hunter Pence!
To celebrate the 32nd anniversary of the birth of Giants outfielder Hunter Pence, we thought it'd be a good idea to list all of the reasons that he's probably your mom's favorite baseball player.
Shortly after embarking on that endeavor, we realized that no one has that kind of time.
Instead, you'll have to settle for nine of the reasons that mothers love Hunter Pence (not counting that he runs and throws like a spaz, of course).
His inspirational words. Ahead of the 2014 NL Wild Card Game at AT&T Park, Pence motivated Giants fans to bring their A-game and help cheer the team to an eventual World Series championship.
His humility. It's not every day that you meet a ballplayer with the kind of talent Pence brings to the table and get a guy who doesn't mind being the butt of a joke.
His hair. No explanation necessary.
His forgiving nature. Pence started 2015 on the DL after getting hit by a Corey Black pitch back in March. Almost immediately thereafter, Black apologized on Twitter and Pence couldn't have been nicer about the whole situation.

His appreciation of the fine arts. Before Game 3 of the 2014 NLDS, WWE superstar Daniel Bryan led Giants fans in his iconic "YES! YES! YES!" chant. Pence got a chance to meet Bryan and later admitted to being rendered speechless.
His Gossip Girl fanfiction. After a four-game sweep of the Mets at Citi Field in 2014, Pence took to Instagram to give fans the low-down on his own social life.
His EMT skills. Last July, Pence returned to Philadelphia with the Giants and provided some much-needed first aid care, bringing the Phanatic back to life before our very eyes.
His musical talent. Drum roll please ...
