Five shows to tap into your baseball nostalgia in honor of Netflix's 'Full House' revival

5 Netflix shows to tap into your baseball nostalgia

Netflix brought joy to all millennials when they announced the return of "Full House" on Thursday. Finally, that hole in your heart for your long-gone childhood will now be filled with something that resembles the memories you once had!

But Netflix shouldn't stop just there. In fact, there are plenty of things from baseball's past that would bring us great joy if they could convert them into easily-binge-watchable serialized television. Here then are five ideas for baseball nostalgia that the streaming service should tap into:

Jheri Curl: The Reality Show

Jheri Curl

In this fast paced reality competition show, hair stylists have to give current Major Leaguers the best jheri curl possible. Similar to shows like "Project Runway" and "Ink Masters," Hall of Fame hurler Pedro Martinez guides the stylists through competitions like, "Match the '90s baseball card," "'95-degree game," and "Player accidentally shaved his head before the show -- what are you going to do?"

Only a monster doesn't want to see the jheri curl make a comeback.

Griffey 2 Griffey

Griffey 2 Griffey

In this family sitcom based on a true story, Ken Griffey Jr. plays a Major League superstar with the Seattle Mariners. But one day, the center fielder shows up to the stadium and who does he find dressing at his locker? None other than his father, fellow baseballer Ken Griffey Sr.

You'll laugh uproariously at this buddy comedy as Junior and his dad bicker in the outfield, argue over who gets the remote while in their hotel room and you may just tear up during the touching scenes of father-son bonding.

Oh yeah, and there are plenty of dingers:

The Expos

Filmed in front of a live studio audience, you'll love the adventures of these quirky Canucks in the ensemble comedy "The Expos."

Enjoy highlights like when Vlad Guerrero throws a baseball through the stadium wall. Will he be able to fix it before Felipe Alou notices?

What will happen when Jeff Fassero accidentally schedules two dates on one night?

And you'll never believe what happens when Tim Wallach steps into the Youppi costume

What a wacky premise!

Play Me the Hits

Play Me hits

Thought the music in "Glee" was great? Can't get enough of the soapy, edge-of-your-seat drama of "Empire?" Then you'll love "Play Me the Hits." The show follows Ethan and Noah Lampkin -- the fictional geniuses behind novelty baseball smash hits like "Red Hot" about the 1990 Reds:

And Terry Forster's "Fat is In"

But with more players and teams begging for novelty smash hits, and the duo struck with a terrible case of writers block, will they be able to push through and find success? Or will their novelty empire crumble around them?

Cart Wars

Cart Wars

Okay, okay, hear me out on this one. It's "Star Wars," but instead of The Death Star and X-Wing Fighters and all that sci-fi stuff, they fly around in modified vintage bullpen carts.

I mean, just think of the merchandising and action figure possibilities alone.
