Blake Treinen casually pumping in 98-mph sinkers is the stuff of hitters' nightmares

Since joining the A's last season in the Sean Doolittle trade, right-hander Blake Treinen has anchored the back end of the A's bullpen with his high-octane pitching.
Treinen has been particularly useful this season, pitching to a 1.25 ERA and striking out 25 in just under 22 innings of work so far. He picked up three more strikeouts in the A's 3-1 win over the Blue Jays on Friday night ... thanks to some downright unhittable nastiness.
Sorry, Kevin Pillar, you aren't hitting 98-mph sinkers on the inside corner:

Same goes for you, Luke Maile, even if this one's farther out across the plate:

This is especially tough for the Blue Jays -- considering Treinen is at least the second pitcher to baffle them with 98-mph sinkers, as the Mets' Noah Syndergaarddid earlier this week

Better luck next time, guys ... and any other teams that face Treinen when he has full command of this pitch.
