An actual shark threw a first pitch to Shark (Jeff Samardzija) in honor of Shark Week

A wise man once said, "Live every week like it's Shark Week."

Well, maybe a "wise man" as much as an eccentric television character who was most widely known for running through traffic in his underwear screaming that he was a Jedi.

Either way, his piece of advice is particularly relevant starting on July 5, when it's actually Shark Week. In honor of the momentus occasion, the White Sox invited an actual shark to throw out the first pitch to their own Shark -- pitcher Jeff Samardzija -- at U.S. Cellular Field.

Also throwing out a first pitch was White Sox first-round Draft pick Carson Fulmer, but unless we get to spend Fulmer Week watching Carson Fulmer attack divers in metal cages and starring in Spielberg films, then we're gonna stick with the Shark as the real story here.
