Braves-Nationals postponed Sat.; split DH on Sunday

September 24th, 2023

WASHINGTON -- The Braves-Nationals game on Saturday at Nationals Park was postponed and moved to Sunday as a split-admission doubleheader because of forecasted severe weather.

Sunday’s originally scheduled game still will be played at 1:35 p.m. ET as Game 1. Game 2, originally scheduled for 1:05 p.m. ET on Saturday, will be played at 6:35 p.m. ET.

The Nationals announced on Saturday that right-hander Jackson Rutledge will start Game 1, while righty Joan Adon will start the nightcap. Allan Winans takes Game 1 for the Braves, before handing the baton to Spencer Strider for the second game.

For those with tickets to Saturday’s game who cannot attend Game 2 on Sunday, tickets can be exchanged to attend Game 1 or a 2024 regular-season game through June 20 (subject to blackout dates).

Additional information on the postponement can be found here.
