ATLANTA -- Matt Tuiasosopo and Kanekoa Texeira are a pair of former big leaguers who made a good impression after attempting to extend their respective playing careers within the Braves organization. They are now attempting to find success as Minor League managers.

When the Braves announced their 2022 Minor League coaching staffs on Monday, it was revealed Tuiasosopo will once again manage Triple-A Gwinnett and Texeira will manage High-A Rome for a second straight season.

Here is a look at the assignments for each of the Braves’ five affiliates:

GWINNETT (AAA)

Manager: Tuiasosopo will manage at the Triple-A level for a second straight year and experience his third season as a manager within the Braves’ farm system. He played 155 games, including three for the Braves in 2016, over five big league seasons.

Pitching coach: Mike Maroth combined to make 150 starts with the Tigers and Cardinals from 2002-07. This will be his seventh season with the Braves organization and his third as Gwinnett’s pitching coach.

Hitting coach: Carlos Mendez will be entering his third season as Gwinnett’s hitting coach. He has served as a hitting coach or instructor within the Braves’ organization going back to 2008.

Coaches: Wigberto Nevarez has been within the Braves organization since being drafted in the 20th round of the 2014 MLB Draft. The former catcher is entering his fifth season as a coach.

Devon Travis entered the coaching ranks with Double-A Mississippi last year. The former infielder played 316 games for the Blue Jays from 2015-18.

MISSISSIPPI (AA)

Manager: Bruce Crabbe joins the Braves after spending the past 17 seasons as a coach within the Red Sox system. The former infielder played for the Triple-A Richmond Braves in 1990 and ’91.

Staff: Bo Henning (pitching coach), Mike Bard (hitting coach), Angel Flores (coach)

ROME (High-A)

Manager: Texeira spent three years as a coach within Atlanta’s system before becoming Rome’s manager last year. The 36-year-old former pitcher combined to make 49 appearances with the Mariners and Royals from 2010-11.

Staff: Wes McGuire (pitching coach), Danny Santiesteban (hitting coach), Bobby Moore (coach)

AUGUSTA (Low-A)

Manager: Nestor Pérez will join Augusta after managing the Braves’ FCL team last year.

Staff: Mike Steed (pitching coach), Connor Narron (hitting coach) and Myles Schroder (coach)

FCL BRAVES (Rookie)

Manager: Cody Gabella joins the Braves after previously serving as a coach within the Cardinals’ system.

Staff: Elvin Niña (pitching coach), Einar Diaz (hitting coach), Jefferson Romero (coach) and Garrett Wilkinson (coach)
