Prior to Sunday's game, Fried was placed on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to Thursday, with left elbow neuritis. More >

Julio Rodríguez, Mariners

Rodríguez left Sunday's game against the Astros with an apparent right foot injury after a collision with the outfield wall. X-rays on Rodríguez’s right ankle came back negative. He will undergo an MRI and, for the moment, is considered day to day. More >

Glasnow (lower back tightness) is expected to return from the injured list and start on Wednesday, Roberts said. More >

Ranger Suárez, Zack Wheeler, Taijuan Walker and Spencer Turnbull, Phillies

Both Suárez (low back spasms) and Wheeler (back tightness) are expected to return to the rotation during the Phillies' upcoming Monday-Wednesday series against the Twins.

Walker (right index finger inflammation) threw an up-and-down bullpen session on Saturday at PNC Park. Manager Rob Thomson said he expects Walker to throw another bullpen during the team's series against the Twins from Monday-Wednesday, then throw batting practice once the Phillies return home later in the week.

Turnbull (right lat strain) started playing catch in Clearwater, Fla., on July 13, and Thomson said he expects Turnbull to throw on flat ground from 120 feet some time this week. More >

Kyle Tucker, Justin Verlander and Luis Garcia, Astros

Tucker (right shin contusion) performed "intense defensive drills" on Saturday, per manager Joe Espada, the results of which the Astros considered encouraging.

Verlander (neck stiffness) and Garcia (Tommy John surgery) both threw off the mound on Saturday and reported feeling good afterwards. More >

Carlos Correa, Royce Lewis, Chris Paddack and Jose Miranda, Twins

Correa was placed on the 10-day IL Saturday (retroactive to Tuesday) with right plantar fasciitis.

Lewis (right adductor strain) took batting practice and ran on the field on Saturday and could leave on a rehab assignment sometime this upcoming week, per manager Rocco Baldelli.

Paddack was placed on the 15-day IL on Saturday (retroactive to Wednesday) with a right forearm strain. MRIs of the area revealed that there are no issues with the twice-surgically repaired UCL in Paddack's right elbow.

Miranda (low back strain) hit flip tosses in the batting cages on Sunday, and will progress to running on Monday, after which the Twins will continue to evaluate his progress and make further determinations on his timetable. More >

Fernando Tatis Jr. and Joe Musgrove, Padres

Tatis (right femoral stress reaction) underwent an MRI during the All-Star break that revealed enough improvement to resume some baseball activity, although the stress reaction hasn't healed completely.

Musgrove (right elbow inflammation) threw his second bullpen session on Saturday, incorporating breaking pitches for the first time. It came three days after his first bullpen session -- and he has reported feeling no issues with his ailing elbow. More >

The Yankees expect to decide by July 27-28 if Stanton (left hamstring strain) will be ready for game action, though it is not yet clear if he will go on a Minor League rehab assignment. Stanton said that he needs to “stack” a few more good days before that determination is made. More >

Kodai Senga, Mets

Little (left shoulder strain) is expected to miss the remainder of the 2024 season. More >

Jacob Wilson, A's

Wilson, Oakland's No. 1 prospect and the No. 50 overall prospect in baseball according to MLB Pipeline, was removed in his MLB debut on Friday after he came up limping while scoring a run following his first career hit. He was diagnosed with a left hamstring strain and is scheduled to undergo an MRI Sunday. More >

Mike Trout, Luis Rengifo, Nolan Schanuel and Griffin Canning, Angels

After facing live pitching and participating in outfield drills on Saturday, Trout (torn meniscus in left knee) is expected to start his rehab assignment on Tuesday -- and could return to the Angels as early as Thursday to begin the Angels' homestand against the A's.

Rengifo (right wrist inflammation) progressed to taking grounders, throwing and hitting off a tee on Friday, adding on Saturday that he's feeling good and plans to ramp up his hitting with more aggressive swings off the tee.

Schanuel left Saturday's game against the A's with left calf tightness and was out of the lineup Sunday.

Canning left his start against the A's on Friday after 3 1/3 innings for precautionary reasons, as he felt some discomfort in his elbow when throwing his slider. More >

Triston Casas, Trevor Story and Vaughn Grissom, Red Sox

Red Sox manager Alex Cora said on Friday that Casas (torn cartilage in left rib cage) is still "far" from heading out on a Minor League rehab assignment. The left-handed hitter continues to hit soft toss and off a tee, but the key will be once he is well enough to take live batting practice.

When Story was diagnosed with a fracture in his left shoulder -- an injury he sustained in the eighth game of the season -- it was largely assumed that he wouldn't play again until 2025. However, Story said Friday he hasn't ruled out playing in '24, particularly if the Red Sox can get to the postseason.

Grissom (right hamstring strain) began a Minor League rehab assignment on Saturday with Triple-A Worcester. More >
