In April 2020, we sought to help our communities stricken by the Covid-19 pandemic. What began as an idea to provide a few hundred meals per week from a food truck in an effort to support hunger relief initiatives blossomed into a full-scale food service and meal prep operation, distributing thousands of pounds of food originally purchased for home games to meet the most urgent needs in our communities.
Today, the Atlanta Braves and Chick-fil-A® team up with community organizations to continue to care for Braves Country while fighting food insecurity. Through the Home Plate Project presented by Chick-fil- A®, thousands of pounds of fresh produce, frozen protein, and hot meals are distributed to families across Metro Atlanta each year.
Locations are selected using the United Way of Greater Atlanta’s Child Well-Being Index, which determines areas of greatest need for children and families. Distributions are open to all neighbors, and resources are provided completely free of charge.

- August 29: Clayton County Community Services – Forest Park, GA
- September 12: Peace Baptist Church – Decatur, GA
- October 10: SERV International – Canton, GA
- November 7: Good Samaritan Center – Douglasville, GA
