Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts served as a correspondent for the 2023 World Series, taking fans behind the scenes at the Fall Classic.

This year, he’s a little busy. So, three other players will fill Betts’ shoes as correspondents for MLB during this year’s Yankees-Dodgers clash: Braves infielder Ozzie Albies, A’s slugger Brent Rooker and Padres batting champion Luis Arraez. Also, Tigers outfielder Max Clark, the No. 6 prospect in baseball per MLB Pipeline, will work with social media platform Meta on original social content that will be featured exclusively on its Instagram account.

Albies, a 2021 World Series champion and three-time All-Star, will attend Media Day on Thursday and World Series Game 1 on Friday in Los Angeles. Rooker and Arraez will attend Game 3 on Monday night at Yankee Stadium.

Albies and Rooker will connect with players and coaches during pregame and postgame interviews at this year’s World Series. They will talk to celebrities in attendance, make appearances on MLB Network and offer insight into the matchup for MLB’s platforms.

Meanwhile, Arraez will work closely with Las Mayores for player-first coverage primarily in Spanish. He will do interviews with players and coaches and help create other content as the series shifts to the Bronx.

Clark will take fans on an exclusive behind-the-scenes journey through Game 2 at Dodger Stadium on Saturday, engaging with players and fans and giving us a glimpse of some of the best food at the ballpark.

This is the fourth consecutive year that MLB has utilized current players to provide special coverage during the World Series. Along with Betts in 2023, Guardians pitcher Triston McKenzie filled the role during the 2022 World Series, and then-Rays outfielder Brett Phillips did it in 2021.
