Mission San Jose Little League

"Coach Chong exemplifies a profound dedication to fostering stronger and more resilient communities, which he seamlessly integrates into his baseball coaching. Hailing from Hawai'i, where he actively participated in Little League from T-Ball to Majors, Coach Chong's passion for baseball and community service runs deep.

Upon relocating to Milpitas, California, and retiring from the workforce, Coach Chong has selflessly dedicated his time to the Mission San Jose area of Fremont. Remarkably, despite not having any children in the league, he treats each young player under his guidance as if they were his own. Coach Chong assumes the role of a dedicated mentor, extending his support not only to the children but also to their parents.

With approximately six years of coaching experience at Mission San Jose Little League, Coach Chong has predominantly guided Minor B teams and, more recently, Minor A teams. Beyond his coaching responsibilities, Coach Chong possesses a unique and insightful perspective on life, guided by a comprehensive outlook that encompasses the spectrum of human experiences. He astutely observes that baseball serves as a microcosm of life, reflecting both successes and failures. Even when not actively coaching for Mission San Jose Little League, Coach Chong's dedication remains unwavering, as he can be found diligently preparing fields and officiating games."

Castro Valley Little League

He has consistently gone above and beyond to foster a positive and supportive environment for his players. His coaching philosophy revolves around not only developing athletes' skills on the field but also nurturing their character, discipline, and teamwork off the field.

Under his guidance, countless players have experienced significant growth and improvement in their baseball abilities. He possesses a remarkable ability to tailor his coaching approach to meet the needs of each player, ensuring they reach their full potential. Whether it's refining pitching techniques, perfecting batting stances, or honing defensive strategies, Coach Anthony is always there to provide expert guidance and support."

"For the past decade, Maria Hartin-Swart, a dedicated volunteer, has been an integral part of Treeview Little League Baseball, located in South Hayward, CA. Her unwavering commitment and selflessness have left an indelible mark on both the community and the game. Maria has successfully grown Treeview Little League from four to fifteen teams for both boys and girls. Maria ensures that every child feels welcome.

Maria is the heartbeat of the league. Her commitment teaches players and families that giving back is as essential as hitting a home run. Her steadfast presence ensures the league's continuity."
