Director, Player Development
Sara Goodrum is in her second season with the Astros serving as the Director of Player Development. In her role with the Astros, Goodrum oversees all Player Development staff and collaborates with coordinators on the core duties of the recruiting, hiring and development of the Player Development staff. She also spearheads the formation and execution of coaching philosophies as well as the formation and execution of the Player Development goal process. Prior to joining the Astros, she worked for the Milwaukee Brewers since 2017 previously holding the role of Minor League Hitting Coordinator in the 2021 season.
Sara played college softball and received a bachelor’s degree in Human Physiology from the University of Oregon before receiving a master’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of Utah. She resides in Houston.
