Director, International Scouting
Brian Rodgers enters his sixth season with the Astros organization. In his role as International Scouting Director, Rodgers oversees the club’s International Amateur Scouting operation, while also providing support in International Pro Scouting and International Player Development.
Rodgers joined the organization in 2017 in the role of Player Acquisition Assistant (2017-2019), where he was instrumental in the day-to-day operations of the club’s Amateur and International Scouting efforts. He later served
as Manager, International Scouting (2019-2021) and Assistant Director, International Scouting (2021-2022), where
he focused on process improvement, data integration, and emphasizing evidence-based decision-making within the International department. In his time with Houston, Rodgers has been heavily involved in signing decisions for current Astros Top Prospects such as Pedro Leon, Miguel Ullola, Kenni Gomez, Luis Baez, Edinson Batista, Camilo Diaz, Jose Fleury, and Alimber Santa.
Prior to joining the Astros, Rodgers worked for Major League Baseball’s Office of the Commissioner in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He holds a B.S. in Sport and Entertainment Management and a Minor in Spanish from the University of South Carolina, where he worked for two seasons with the Gamecocks baseball team. Originally hailing from Hamilton, MA, Rodgers currently resides in Houston.
