Giles Kibbe serves as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for the Houston Astros, LLC. Giles has been General Counsel for all of Jim Crane’s companies since February of 2010. His responsibilities for the Crane companies range from mergers and acquisitions, litigation, employment matters, contracts, real estate acquisitions, real estate developments, and human resources.
In 2018, after Jim Crane took over control of the Houston Open, Giles was named President of the newly-formed Astros Golf Foundation and oversees all operations for the Houston Open. In 2019, AGF undertook a $34 million dollar renovation of Memorial Park Golf Course to bring the PGA Tour event back to the City’s iconic park. In November of 2020, the Houston Open made a triumphant return to Memorial Park to positive reviews.
Giles is a graduate of Louisiana State University Law School (1993) and Lamar University (1990).
