What's New
The entire app was rewritten with numerous changes, including:
- Updated navigation with a bottom tab bar
- New scoreboard design
- New watch experience
- Updated audio player with live scrubbing
- Support for archive audio
- New MLB.TV player with synced box scores
- Rebuilt news article reader
- All new networking layer utilizing modern MLB services
Recent Changes
- Fixed several issues with the tab bar incorrectly appearing in certain places
- News stories headlines on the team page are no longer truncated
- The screen no longer dims or turns off while watching video highlights
- Fixed an issue with the keyboard appearing on older devices
- Resolved a crash when trying to view the team page while not having connectivity
- Improved accessibility on scoreboard cells
- Fixed an issue with the team snapshot incorrectly defaulting to the wrong game
- The stats link from the team page now defaults to stat leaders for that team
- Resolved several streaming issues for single team users, including watching nationally broadcast games and viewing games that don’t match the favorite team in the app
- Fixed an issue where the team snapshot would not preserve a user’s selection after refresh
- Delayed statuses now appear on scoreboard cells
- Selecting a postponed game no longer takes a user to the paywall
Known Issues
- Some news thumbnails are incorrectly cropped
- When streaming audio, the pause button on the lock screen of older Samsung devices does not work
- Known performance/reload issues when navigating away from tabs and returning
