This exhibition game features two multicultural baseball clubs. The “NA Warriors” Native American National Team is represented by the Native American Nations of Cherokee, Chippewa, Comanche, Iroquois, Kickapoo, Lumbee, Pascua Yaqui, Piscataway Conoy, Powhatan, Sioux and Tuscarora. The “VNuts” Western Hemisphere Team consists of players from the United States, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Great Britain, The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Sweden. July 13 | USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Tour (Stars vs. Stripes)

July 13 Times: Gates Open: 5:30 p.m. | First Pitch 7 p.m.

Format: 7 innings (no extra innings)

Overview: This year’s USA Baseball Collegiate National Team will feature 48 of the top non-draft-eligible collegiate players in the country on two 24-man rosters, the Stars and Stripes, for an 11-game tour of intrasquad games. The Stars and Stripes will play 10 of its 11 games in the cities of the Appalachian League, which begins its first season as a summer collegiate league as a part of the Prospect Development Pipeline. The Appalachian League also serves as a national team pathway and identification event for the Collegiate National Team and other future USA Baseball national teams.

The 2021 Collegiate team coaching staff includes Elliot Avent (Manager; NC State), Bobby Austin (Mississippi State), Dan Hartleb (Illinois), Kevin O’Sullivan (Florida), Kobe Phillips (NC Central), Josh Pike (NC State), Alex Sogard (Wright State), Troy Tulowitzki (Texas) and Jerry Weinstein (Colorado Rockies).

Players who have taken the field for the Collegiate National Team and have gone on to play in Major League Baseball include notable athletes such as Jim Abbott, Walker Buehler, Matt Chapman, Barry Larkin, Tino Martinez, Dustin Pedroia, David Price, Stephen Strasburg, Dansby Swanson, Mark Teixeira, Trea Turner and Justin Verlander, among others.

July 27 | Appalachian League All-Star Game presented by Pennzoil

The Appalachian League All-Star Game presented by Pennzoil is taking place July 27. MLB Network will broadcast the event to a nationwide audience, adding to the prestige of the event. Sum it up, and the All-Star Game presented by Pennzoil promises to be the most anticipated date on Calfee Park’s 2021 schedule.

Tickets: These events are FREE to the general public. No advance tickets are offered for these events, and no upgrade tickets are available. A ticket is not required for entry. Admission to these events only guarantees entry; it does not guarantee a seat. Attendees are encouraged to come early.

Many seats in reserved sections will be reserved for season ticket holders. If a seat is labeled with a name, it is not an open seat.
