'Let's go Daddy!' is Team Australia's newest and cutest cheer
The Australian fans are known for their passionate support. Decked out in the green and gold, the raucous group has been behind Team Australia all the way with the famous, "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, oy, oy, oy!" cheer leading the way ... until Wednesday that is.
Three-year-old Florence Kennelly -- daughter of firefighter and team captain Tim Kennelly -- first came to fame with a "Come on, Georgie!" chant in Australia's loss to Japan earlier in the tournament. It was shared more than 500 times and viewed by over 3 million people.
In Australia's 4-3 quarterfinal loss against Cuba, she got a new chant going: "Let's go Daddy!" The chant was quickly picked up by the Aussie fans in the ballpark, too.
Florence has been enjoying her time in Tokyo, even going as far as telling her mother that she wants to live here. Her favorite activities have been baseball and -- naturally -- going to Disneyland.
"It's been pretty crazy," Anna Kennelly -- Tim's wife and Florence's mother -- said about all the attention. "We weren't expecting it, but she just loves it."
As for Florence's favorite player, that one's easy: "Daddy!" she said.
